This is a term used by the insurance companies for a claim where water has leaked/escaped from usually water tanks, bath tubs, Toilets, Water cylinders, radiators etc and causes damage to the fabric of the surrounding areas. It is quite normal to have drying equipment installed for a period to aid the drying out of the affected walls, ceilings, floors etc.
